Sussex Police have issued an appeal to help identify the owner of a dog after a woman in her 60s was injured in Steyning High Street.
The incident occurred on Sunday, May 19, at around 5.30pm, near the junction with Elm Grove Lane. A dog reportedly jumped at the woman, causing her to fall into the road, resulting in injuries.
Police have released a grainy image showing a man believed to be the owner. He is described as around 60 years old, with a ponytail, wearing grey joggers and a utility-style gilet. He was seen holding two dogs on leads.
The dogs are described as:
- A medium-sized white dog with short fur and a black spot above its tail and over its eyes and ears.
- A larger, muscular dog, brown in colour with lighter markings on its chest and between the eyes. This dog also had short fur.
Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the man or has information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
