Police are appealing for information after shop staff and a member of the public were assaulted during an incident at a Chichester supermarket.
The incident happened on October 18 at a store on Oliver Whitby Road, where a man was reported to have attempted to steal items.
According to police, as the suspect was leaving the premises he was challenged by staff. During the confrontation, the man allegedly assaulted shop workers and a woman who was inside the store at the time.
The woman sustained facial injuries during the incident.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, as he may be able to assist with ongoing enquiries.
Police are urging anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information about what happened, to come forward.
