Sussex Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man in connection with an assault at a McDonald’s restaurant in Brighton.
The incident happened inside the McDonald’s located within the Asda Hollingbury Superstore on Crowhurst Road at around 10.20am on Monday, January 19.
Police said a 46-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman entered the restaurant when a verbal altercation broke out between the 46-year-old man and another male.
During the incident, the man is reported to have grabbed the 46-year-old by his clothing, verbally abused him and made threats of violence. Members of the public intervened and separated the two men.
The suspect then left the scene with another woman in a black Mini, police confirmed.
Officers are continuing to pursue several lines of enquiry and are keen to speak to the man pictured as part of the ongoing investigation.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said officers are urging anyone who recognises the man, witnessed the incident, or has relevant information, including CCTV or mobile phone footage, to come forward.
