A man has been found dead at a house in Hove following an early-morning welfare concern.
Emergency services were called to a residential address in Downland Drive shortly before 8am on Tuesday 20th Jan after reports raised concerns for a man’s safety. Police officers and paramedics attended the scene, where a 51-year-old man was pronounced dead.
Sussex Police have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious. Officers remain at the address while enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, and specialist officers are providing support to his family.
A police spokesperson said a file will be prepared for the coroner, which is standard procedure in cases of sudden or unexplained death.
Local residents reported seeing emergency vehicles in the area during the morning.
No arrests have been made, and there is no wider risk to the public.
