A man has been charged with rape following an alleged incident in a Worthing car park.
Sussex Police said Suleman Mukaish, 27, of Cambridge Road, Worthing, is accused of raping a woman in her 20s at Lyndhurst Road Car Park.
The alleged offence is reported to have taken place at around 8pm on Wednesday, March 11.
Mukaish has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 16.
Police confirmed the victim has been supported by specialist officers following the incident.
Officers have said the matter is being treated as an isolated incident and that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the offence.
