The Whole Artist

Christabel Heasman-Cossins has lived and breathed music her whole life. As a professional singer she has performed as a session vocalist, lead singer, backing vocalist, band leader, and songwriter across soul, pop, dance, and jazz. For over 20 years she has also shared her passion as a vocal coach, working with everyone from aspiring performers to community choirs, helping people find their voice and their confidence.

Her experience as both performer and coach gives her a unique insight into the creative process, why it matters, and how music and creativity can be a source of meaning, connection, and inspiration.

Alongside her work in music, Christabel is the founder of WHOLE Coaching, a framework that helps people reconnect with what matters and live with deeper alignment. She is also a published researcher in music psychology, exploring the links between performance, wellbeing, creativity and meaning. She is currently studying for her PhD by publication.

Beyond music, Christabel is also a designer, leading the branding and interiors at her family’s award-winning Brighton restaurant, Indian Summer.

On The Whole Artist, Christabel brings all of this together: her love of music, her understanding of creativity, and her gift for drawing out people’s stories to uncover the songs that shape lives and the truths that music reveals.
