Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Brighton Seafront on Friday, 12 September 2025.
The incident happened at around 9:15pm between the Doughnut Groyne and Brighton Pier. A man, described as aged 30 to 40, wearing a full grey tracksuit and a black beanie, was reported to have assaulted a woman.
Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area. A 31-year-old man from St Albans was arrested nearby on suspicion of common assault and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
