Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision in St Leonards on Monday (16 February).
Emergency services were called to Blackman Avenue at around 1.50pm after reports of a collision involving a camper van and a motorbike near the junction with Larkfield Close.
Paramedics treated a man at the scene, but he was sadly pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed, and officers say their thoughts remain with the family during this difficult time.
A 73-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed while enquiries continue.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who saw the camper van in Blackman Avenue or the surrounding area prior to the incident, to come forward.
Police are particularly keen to hear from drivers or residents with relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage that could assist the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 727 of 16/02.
