A man has been arrested after police attempted to stop a moped rider suspected of being involved in drug activity on Lewes Road in Brighton.
Sussex Police said officers tried to apprehend the rider at around 4.20pm on Monday, February 9, after concerns were raised about possible drug offences in the area.
The rider allegedly failed to stop for police and was later restrained by officers before being arrested.
He was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, failing to stop for police, and assault on an emergency worker.
The man has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Police have not released further details about the suspect at this stage.
