Annual concert for Sussex Cancer Fund

Students and staff from the University of Brighton are set to take to the stage for a special fundraising concert aimed at supporting cancer care across Sussex.

The annual concert will raise money for the Sussex Cancer Fund, a charity that works with NHS teams to improve the lives of people undergoing cancer treatment in the region.

The free event will take place at St Andrew’s Church in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, with doors opening at 6pm. The evening will showcase a mix of classical and contemporary music performed by talented students and staff from across the university.

Organised by the University of Brighton’s School of Applied Sciences alongside the Students’ Union Music Society, the concert forms part of an ongoing effort to raise funds for equipment, services and research that directly benefits cancer patients across Sussex.

Admission to the concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance. Free tickets can be booked online here: Reserve a ticket for the fundraising concert.

Those unable to attend the event can still support the cause by making a donation through the official fundraising page: Donate to the Sussex Cancer Fund concert campaign.

All funds raised will go directly to the Sussex Cancer Fund, helping provide vital medical equipment, services and support for cancer patients across the region. The charity works closely with NHS teams to enhance patient care and fund research that aims to improve outcomes for people facing cancer.

The concert will feature a programme of choral pieces followed by contemporary favourites, performed by university students, academics and staff. Organisers say the event highlights the power of music to bring communities together while supporting an important cause.

By combining live performance with fundraising, the event aims to raise awareness and vital funds while strengthening community support for people affected by cancer throughout Sussex.
