Police investigating an ongoing case in Lewes say two officers were assaulted while attending a property in the town.
Sussex Police said officers were called to a property in Cliffe High Street, Lewes, at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, February 11, as part of enquiries linked to a separate investigation.
During attempts to engage with a 14-year-old boy at the address, two officers reported being assaulted.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. However, he was later dearrested so he could receive treatment in hospital for injuries that were sustained prior to police arriving at the scene.
Police confirmed enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
