    Two men have been formally charged in connection with separate burglary incidents in Brighton and Felpham, according to Sussex Police.

    On Tuesday 24 February, officers responded to a reported burglary at a home in Limmer Lane, Felpham at around 2.30 am. A specialist police dog, PD Billy, was deployed and located a suspect at the scene.

    Jacob Meigh, 22, of Liverpool Road, Stoke‑on‑Trent, Staffordshire, was arrested on suspicion of burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal, going equipped for a burglary and attempted burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal. He was charged on 27 February and appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court, where he was released on bail pending a further hearing on 7 April.

    In a separate incident in Brighton on the same night, police were called to a property in Kensington Gardens shortly before 3.40 am following reports of a burglary. PD Gibbs was deployed and helped officers locate another suspect.

    David Mann, 45, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary and three counts of theft from a shop. He was charged and appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 25 February, where he was remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance on 4 March.

    Sussex Police continue to investigate both incidents and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
