A 16-year-old boy was left bloodied and traumatised after a violent dog attack in a Bexhill park earlier this month.
The teenager had been playing basketball at around 7.30pm on Saturday, June 7, at Barrack Hall Park when he was reportedly set upon by two aggressive dogs—believed to be Dobermans. The dogs bit the boy on the leg and scratched his arms and legs, leaving him with multiple injuries.
The horrifying incident was halted only after brave witnesses stepped in to stop the attack.
In a shocking turn, the dogs’ owners are said to have responded with verbal abuse directed at the Good Samaritans who intervened. One woman, believed to be connected to the dogs, is now being sought by Sussex Police for questioning.
The victim’s father rushed him to hospital where he received treatment before being discharged. He is now recovering at home.
Police are actively pursuing several lines of enquiry and have issued a public appeal for information. Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the attack or has relevant mobile phone or CCTV footage to come forward.
Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or via 101, quoting reference 368 of 07/06.
