Sussex Police were kept busy in Brighton today as four separate demonstrations took place across the city, drawing demonstrators to multiple central locations.
The largest presence was around the Clock Tower, where pro-Israel, which is bi-weekly, and pro-Palestine groups held opposing demonstrations. Police maintained a visible presence in the area to ensure the groups remained separate and to prevent any disorder.

A separate Iranian-related demonstration was held outside Churchill Square shopping centre. demonstrators want Trump to take action to free their country from the current leadership.

In addition, a demonstration targeting Barclays was held by pro-Palestine campaigners at another city centre location.
Despite the scale and spread of the demonstrations, Sussex Police confirmed there were no reports of violence, arrests, or significant incidents at any of the demonstrations. Officers worked throughout the day to manage crowd safety, maintain public order and keep routes open where possible.
Some minor traffic delays were reported in parts of the city, particularly around the town centre and along the march route. However, police and stewards were able to manage disruption effectively, and delays were kept to a minimum.
Members of the public were advised to expect a continued police presence while the protests concluded, but the overall atmosphere across the city remained calm.
Sussex Police thanked demonstrators and residents for their cooperation, noting that proactive planning and engagement helped ensure the events passed peacefully.
