A grassroots music event raising funds for dementia support is heading to Brighton later this month, bringing together live bands, community spirit, and a powerful cause.
Rock 4 Dementia will take place on Sunday 29 March 2026 at The Prince Albert, delivering a full day of live performances from 1pm through to 10pm. The event aims to raise vital funds for Dementia UK, supporting families affected by the condition.

Founded in 2020 by Southport couple Sharon and Neil Thompson, the event was created in memory of Sharon’s mother, who lived with vascular dementia for nine years. What began as a deeply personal tribute has grown into a recognised fundraising initiative, backed by musicians from across the UK.
As part of the fundraising effort, organisers have also produced a dedicated Rock 4 Dementia CD, featuring tracks from supporting artists. Proceeds from CD sales contribute directly to Dementia UK, giving supporters another way to get involved and help raise funds beyond the live event itself.

Since its launch, Rock 4 Dementia has already raised more than £5,000 for Dementia UK, helping to fund specialist Admiral Nurses who provide expert advice and emotional support to families navigating the challenges of dementia.
The Brighton event marks the first time the fundraiser has come to the city, with a packed lineup of performers expected to take to the stage throughout the day. Organisers say the event is not only about raising money, but also about building awareness and bringing people together through a shared love of live music.
Dementia remains one of the UK’s biggest health challenges, affecting memory, thinking, and behaviour, and requiring ongoing care and support for those diagnosed and their families.

By combining live entertainment with fundraising, Rock 4 Dementia continues to grow as a community-driven effort to make a difference, offering both a platform for artists and a way for the public to support an important cause.
Tickets for the Brighton event are available, with proceeds going directly towards dementia care and support services, alongside funds raised through CD sales and donations.
