Sussex Police have launched an investigation after two people were found dead at a property in Bexhill.
Emergency services were called to an address in College Road at around 12.15pm on Friday, May 2, following concerns for the welfare of two residents.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 75-year-old man, who was sadly confirmed dead at the scene. A 90-year-old woman was also found inside the property with a serious head injury. She was airlifted to hospital but was later declared dead on Saturday, May 3, Sussex Police confirmed.
The force said the incident is currently being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
Residents in the area should expect to see an increased police presence as investigations continue.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said:
“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the families of those involved. We are working to establish the full facts and ask anyone with information to get in touch.”
