Police are appealing for information after a man was left in a serious condition following a violent assault in Brighton city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning (5 July).
Officers were called to Western Road around 2.30am after reports of a fight involving two groups of men. The incident is believed to have started outside Buddha Nail Studio before spilling westbound along Western Road, opposite McDonald’s.
One of the groups fled the area in the direction of Churchill Square shopping centre.
The victim, a man in his 30s, received treatment at the scene from paramedics and was subsequently taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Detective Inspector Ed Neve said: “An investigation is ongoing to understand the events of Saturday morning and identify any suspects. We are particularly keen to speak to the man pictured wearing white in the released photographs.”
Anyone who recognises the man or who has information that could assist officers is urged to contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting Operation Axle.
