Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected road rage assault on an 82-year-old man in Lodsworth, near Petworth.
The incident occurred at around 5.40pm on 20 October in The Street, close to the junction with Gills Lane. Sussex Police say the victim was confronted and assaulted by the driver of a black Ford Fiesta during wet driving conditions.
The elderly victim was left shaken but did not require hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as a tall man in his 30s, wearing a shirt and trousers. After the confrontation, he drove southbound along The Street.
Officers are now investigating and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the altercation to come forward. They are particularly keen to trace a member of the public who stopped to check on the victim’s welfare and may have seen the incident unfold.
