The break-in happened at the BP Garage in the early hours of 22 December, when two people are believed to have entered the premises and stolen a large quantity of cigarettes.
After the burglary, the suspects are thought to have fled the area on foot, heading through fields to the south of Easebourne Lane.
Officers investigating the incident have issued an image of a person they believe may be able to assist with enquiries. At the time, the individual was wearing a face covering, a black woollen hat, a gilet-style jacket over a dark jacket, and gloves.
