Police are appealing for information following a serious collision in Hove late on Sunday night (8 June).
Emergency services were called to the junction of Church Road and Grand Avenue at around 11.35pm after a crash involving a blue Kia Sportage and a black Saracen bicycle.
The cyclist, a 36-year-old man from Brighton, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains. The driver of the Kia, a 47-year-old man from Newhaven, was not injured.
Sussex Police have launched an investigation into the incident, codenamed Operation Snowbeach, and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or nearby residents and businesses with CCTV that may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.
