Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a Worthing park late at night.
Sussex Police said the incident happened in Victoria Park, Worthing, at around 11.40pm on Saturday, February 14.
A 35-year-old man was reportedly approached by a group of around five men believed to be in their 20s and wearing grey tracksuits. The group allegedly demanded money and then assaulted him, causing injuries to his head and upper body.
Police confirmed that no items were taken during the incident.
Officers say they are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry and are urging anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has relevant CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage, to come forward.
