Sussex Police are appealing for information after two elderly people were assaulted in Eastbourne’s Old Town.
The incidents happened around 12.30pm on Tuesday, 21 October, near the bus stop opposite Waitrose on High Street.
An 80-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and suffered several injuries requiring hospital treatment. Around the same time, a 90-year-old man was also assaulted nearby.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, wearing a black sweatshirt and a blue coat.
Police are asking anyone who saw what happened or has information to contact them online or by calling 101, quoting serial 640 of 21/10.
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out local enquiries to identify the man involved.
