Police Arrest Suspect and Appeal for Witnesses After Dyke Road Incident
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 9-year-old boy was reportedly followed and grabbed by a man in Brighton.
The incident happened around 8.45am on Thursday, 13 June, near St Nicholas Rest Garden on Dyke Road.
It was reported that a man attempted to grab the boy before following him along the road. The child was able to get away safely, and the incident was reported to police.
A 39-year-old man from Brighton has since been arrested on suspicion of common assault and possession of a Class B drug. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward.
