Sussex Police are seeking to identify a man in connection with an assault reported in Station Road, Lewes, on 6 September at around 9pm.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, reportedly dropped money on the street, which was picked up by another man. A verbal altercation then escalated, and the victim was physically assaulted, sustaining injuries to his face.
Officers are carrying out an ongoing investigation and want to speak to the man pictured in relation to the incident.
Anyone who recognises him, witnessed the incident, or has relevant information such as CCTV or mobile footage is urged to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1394 of 06/09.
Sussex Police stressed that any information, no matter how small, could help with the investigation.
