Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Worthing this afternoon (Tuesday, 3 September).
Emergency services were called to a property in Lindum Road at around 4pm to reports of a man having suffered serious injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Friday said:
“Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area while we investigate what we believe to be an isolated incident.
This is currently being treated as a murder investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.”
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
