Sussex Police are investigating a report of rape at a residential address in Hove and are appealing for information to help identify a man seen in the area at the time.
The incident is reported to have happened at around 9.40pm on 11 December at an address in Queens Place. Police believe a man was seen speaking with the victim outside the property before leaving the area approximately ten minutes later.
The man is described as having brown or black hair and a beard. At the time, he was wearing a dark-coloured cap, a dark jacket with an emblem on the arm, blue jeans with faded thighs, and a white top with a central motif. He was also carrying a white plastic shopping bag.
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and are asking anyone who was in the Queens Place area that evening, or who recognises the description, to come forward.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers while the investigation continues.
