    Man Rushed to Hospital After Unknown Substance Thrown at His Face at Crawley Station

    A man has been taken to hospital after an unknown substance was thrown at him at Crawley railway station late on Saturday night, according to British Transport Police.

    Emergency services were called to the station in Crawley, West Sussex, shortly after 11.20pm on Saturday (March 7) following reports that a substance had been thrown at a man in his 30s.

    The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further medical treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.

    Police and forensic investigators remained at the station into the early hours of Sunday morning as enquiries continued.

    A spokesperson for British Transport Police said:

    “Officers were called to Crawley railway station just after 11.20pm last night (March 7) to reports of a substance being thrown at a man in his thirties.

    “The man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.

    “Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who might have seen this incident or may have information.”

    Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information, to come forward.
