A 57-year-old man from St Leonards has been issued a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) following repeated shoplifting offences in Hastings.
On 20 October 2025, Clive Fullick of Stonehouse Drive appeared at Hastings Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to 20 counts of shoplifting, all committed at the Co-op store on Bohemia Road, Hastings.
The court imposed a three-year CBO aimed at preventing further offending and protecting both retail staff and the wider community.
As part of the sentence, Fullick was also ordered to:
Pay £2,295 in compensation.
Engage in rehabilitation for substance misuse.
Criminal Behaviour Order conditions include:
Exclusion from retail premises – Fullick must leave any retail premises in Sussex when asked by staff, owners, or security.
Respect for banning notices – He is prohibited from entering any retail premises from which he has been formally banned.
Geographic restriction – He must stay at least 30 metres away from the Co-op store on Bohemia Road, Hastings.
The order is designed to help reduce reoffending, support rehabilitation, and ensure the safety of the local community.
