    Man in 60s Injured in Brighton Restaurant Attack as Police Launch Appeal

    Three men have been arrested following a serious assault inside a Brighton city centre restaurant in the early hours of Friday, August 2.

    At around 3.30am, Sussex Police were called to reports of a fight inside Zaf’ron, a restaurant on North Road, Brighton.

    Officers arrived to find a man in his 60s with serious injuries. Paramedics attended the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

    Arrests Made


    Three men – aged 19, 27, and 30 – were arrested inside the premises on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).

    • The 19-year-old has since been released without charge.
    • The 27-year-old and 30-year-old have been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

    Police Appeal


    Detectives are seeking to identify another man in connection with the incident. Officers have released an image and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.

    A Sussex Police spokesperson said:
    “If you have any information or recognise the man pictured, please contact us online or call 101 quoting reference 172 of 02/08.”
