Police are appealing for information following a serious collision in Hastings in which a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Officers were called at 12.27am on Sunday 18 January after a car collided with railings in St Helen’s Road, Hastings.
A 22-year-old local woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The driver left the scene following the crash.
After further enquiries, police located a 23-year-old man from the local area at a nearby address. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have mobile phone footage, dash-cam or CCTV recordings, to come forward.
