Police have launched an investigation after a man was injured in a late-night assault in Crawley on Friday evening (4 July).
Emergency services were called to High Street, Crawley, at around 10.40pm following reports of an assault.
A man in his 20s was found at the scene with injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics. His condition has not been disclosed.
A 42-year-old man from Crawley was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm (ABH). He remains in police custody at this time.
A Sussex Police spokesperson told Sussex News:
“Police were called to a report of an assault in High Street, Crawley, at around 10.40pm on Friday (4 July). A man in his 20s was taken to hospital by the ambulance service. A 42-year-old man from Crawley was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. He remains in custody at this time.”
Police have not yet issued a public appeal, but witnesses or anyone with information are urged to contact Sussex Police.
