Police appeal for witnesses and CCTV following incident involving two women
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly indecently exposed himself in Victoria Park, Worthing, on the morning of Sunday, 1 June.
The incident occurred at around 8.30am. According to reports, the suspect—dressed in all black clothing including black joggers—was sitting on a bench in the park and appeared to be intoxicated. As two women walked nearby, the man allegedly pulled down his trousers and exposed himself in their direction.
The suspect was last seen heading eastbound on foot along Tarring Road, Worthing.
Officers responded swiftly to the report, and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of exposure. He has since been released on bail with strict conditions while further investigations continue.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said:
“We are following a number of lines of enquiry and urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant mobile phone or CCTV footage to contact us as soon as possible.”
The force is also appealing for anyone else who may have been approached or targeted in a similar way in the area to come forward.
