A prolific shoplifter in Hastings has been issued a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) following multiple offences.
On Tuesday 20 January, Leeroy Shorter, 51, of The Ridge, Hastings, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. He has been handed a two-year CBO with strict conditions:
Must wear a location monitoring tag for 12 months
Must not enter any retail premises from which he has been banned
Must stay at least 30 metres away from the Co-op on Bohemia Road, Hastings
Inspector Matt Chapman from Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team said:
“We remain committed to protecting local businesses and tackling persistent offending. Our patrols continue to deliver positive results, and we remain firm with those responsible for anti-social behaviour or criminal activity. After multiple recent charges, Shorter has now been issued with a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order, and any breach will result in action. We will continue to be relentless in bringing offenders to justice.”
The CBO is part of ongoing efforts to safeguard local businesses and deter repeat offenders in the Hastings area.
