By around 10:30pm, the city suddenly came to life. Groups in costumes began to appear everywhere — from witches and vampires to movie characters and classic horror icons. The streets grew busy as partygoers made their way between pubs, nightclubs, and late-night venues.

Popular spots like West Street, The Lanes, and the seafront bars filled quickly, with queues forming outside some venues. Despite the slow start, the Halloween spirit eventually took over, turning the quiet evening into a lively celebration of creativity and costume fun.

By midnight, Brighton’s nightlife was in full swing — proof that even when it starts slow, Halloween in the city never fails to deliver a thrilling and colourful night out.
