Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Week has once again proven to be one of the highlights of the summer, drawing crowds from across Sussex and beyond between Sunday 3rd and Sunday 10th August 2025.

This year’s programme mixed much-loved favourites with exciting new activities, offering something for all ages. From the spectacular fireworks display and Stands on the Green to the thrilling Raft Race, visitors enjoyed a week packed with community spirit, fundraising, and fun.

Local venues played a huge part in the celebrations, hosting events such as a Bake Off and Open Mic Night at The Hopp Inn, a Treasure Hunt and Karaoke Night at The Fisherman’s Joy, and a Quiz Night at The Seal. These were joined by many more activities, ensuring the lifeboat crew and volunteers received the strong community backing they deserve.

Wild and Woody Photography were on hand to capture the action, including incredible shots of the lifeboats in display and operational demonstrations, showcasing the skill and dedication of Selsey’s volunteer crew.

Selsey Lifeboat Station, crewed entirely by volunteers, provides a 24-hour search and rescue service and relies heavily on donations to keep saving lives at sea. Organisers have expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, or supported in any way.
