Fire crews were called to tackle a boat fire at Brighton Marina on Monday morning (10 March).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the alarm was raised at 3.54am, with firefighters responding to reports of a blaze on a vessel at the West Jetty Marina.
Four fire appliances attended the scene as crews worked to bring the fire under control. Firefighters used two low-pressure pumps and three main jets to tackle the flames.
Residents and visitors in the area were advised to avoid the marina while emergency services dealt with the incident. Nearby properties were also asked to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
An update later confirmed that crews had left the scene by 6.11am, when the stop message was issued. The incident was then handed over to marina staff.
According to the fire service, the cause of the blaze was accidental.
