A surreal, heartfelt comedy experience — drag, music, memory, and quiet moments of meaning. The first character you meet in C U Later, Simulator is Curly — a drag performer with tired eyes, shimmering eyeshadow, and a voice that carries both charm and sorrow.
She opens the experience with flair and warmth, and later returns for a final performance that catches you off guard.
As the last part of her show unfolds — one spotlight, one slow ballad — Curly sings a line that breaks the fourth wall with a wink: “I wish for a five-star review”.
”It’s playful. It’s unexpected. And by that point, it’s well earned.
C U Later, Simulator is a unique work-in-progress that invites you to witness and quietly influence the final moments of procedurally generated characters. You don’t control them. You don’t save them. You observe, you nudge, and sometimes, you just listen.

Each character is different — some stubborn, some tender, some deeply lost in thought. Your small interventions can bring them peace, spark connection, or open old wounds. The game doesn’t push you toward right answers; it simply invites you to care.
The minimalistic art direction and ethereal soundtrack perfectly suit the reflective tone. Scenes linger. Silences speak volumes. The game’s emotional depth is impressive for something still in development — stories feel personal, not random, and even the quietest playthrough leaves an impression.

There are still a few rough edges, a UI that could use polish, and a few unfinished story branches. But none of that dulls the experience. If anything, the roughness adds texture — like life itself. But with that said I personally wouldn’t change it as it leaves the door open for a sequel.
You can watch the show in London (Museum of Comedy, 10th & 24th July) and Edinburgh (Just the Tonic Legends, 13-24 August).
Reviewers Score: A game changing 5/5
Reviewers Verdict: Curly asked for a five-star review in song — and this game more than earns it. Poignant, strange, and beautifully honest, C U Later is already one of the most emotionally resonant titles of the year.
