A man from Sussex has been charged with terrorism offences following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing South East.
Mohammed Abdulkalik Fadil Alazawi, 35, of Bedford Grove in Eastbourne, was charged on Saturday (7 March) with three counts of encouraging people to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism.
The charges are brought under Terrorism Act 2006.
Police said Alazawi has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (9 March).
The charges follow an investigation carried out by counter-terrorism officers in the South East. Further details about the allegations have not yet been released.
