A counter-terrorism investigation remains ongoing after four people were arrested in Sussex on Thursday, 4 December.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) confirmed that two of those detained — a 41-year-old man from Eastbourne and a 27-year-old woman from Hailsham — were released on Wednesday evening (9 December) with no further action.
The two remaining suspects, men aged 36 and 33 from Eastbourne, were arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000 and remain in custody as enquiries continue.
CTPSE said the investigation is progressing and reassured the public that there is no immediate threat to the wider community.
