Police are searching for a man convicted of attempted rape and sexual assault by penetration after he failed to attend court in Sussex.
Sussex Police have issued an appeal to locate Bereke Russom, 32, who did not return to Lewes Crown Court to continue his trial.
Russom attended the first two days of proceedings but failed to appear thereafter. He was found guilty in his absence last week of attempted rape and sexual assault by penetration.
The offences related to an incident involving a woman on Brighton beach on 27 August 2022.
A warrant has now been issued for his arrest, and police are urging anyone who may know his whereabouts to come forward.
Russom, who was formerly of Cross Green, Leeds, is due to be sentenced on 25 February.
