Police are appealing for information and dash-cam footage following a fatal two-vehicle collision near Balcombe.
The incident happened at around 7.30am on Wednesday, 7 January, on the B2036 London Road, close to Cherry Lane. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
Sadly, the driver of a vehicle travelling northbound, a 44-year-old man from Cuckfield, died as a result of his injuries. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.
National Highways assisted police by putting a road closure in place while emergency services dealt with the incident and carried out enquiries at the scene. The road has since fully reopened.
Officers are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant dash-cam footage, to come forward.
