Two-year-old girl suffers facial injuries in unprovoked attack by unaccompanied dog
Sussex Police are appealing for information following a serious dog attack in Brookfield Park, Littlehampton, that left a young child with significant injuries.
The incident occurred at around 3.30pm on Sunday, 15 June, when a two-year-old girl was bitten in the face by a small, dark-coloured, Terrier-type dog. The dog was not seen with any owner or handler at the time of the attack.
The child sustained multiple facial injuries, including lacerations to her nose, lip, and cheek. She is currently receiving hospital treatment.
Police are working to identify the dog and its owner and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to come forward.
