Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in St James’s Street, Brighton, on Monday, October 27, just before 11pm.
Officers were called after reports that a woman had approached a man at the Co-op cashpoint and asked him for money. The woman is then said to have assaulted the man and stolen his bank card before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as black, around 25 years old, and was wearing a long white jacket or cardigan, with a light-coloured top underneath, and carrying a handbag.
CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing, and police are urging anyone who saw what happened or may have relevant footage to come forward.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said:
“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area at the time.”
