    Detectives release CCTV in appeal after rape and robbery report in Crawley

    Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify following a report of a rape and robbery in Crawley town centre.

    Sussex Police received a report that a man in his 30s was assaulted at an address on the High Street in the early hours of 15 October. The suspect is also alleged to have stolen the victim’s watch and cash before fleeing the scene.

    The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers, with additional assistance from specialist teams.

    Detective Inspector Becki Buckley, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us.”

    Police are urging anyone who may recognise the man in the released images, or who has information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.

    Information can be reported online or by calling 101, quoting serial 119 of 15/10. Members of the public who wish to remain anonymous can also contact independent charity CrimeStoppers.

    Sussex Police confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.

    Anyone with information that may aid detectives is asked to call 101, or submit details through official reporting channels, quoting serial 119 of 15/10.
